Noriana is creating a buzz nationally with her unique taste which integrates a wide range of traditional, old-time, folk ballads, creating an interesting sound that is truly her own. She doesn’t fancy up the old songs to make them more modern, but instead reaches into the heart of the songs, pulling out the deep emotions that made them so enduring in the first place.

The Irish Times described her vocals as “a knockout: translucent and tenacious in equal measure”.  Noriana released her ‘notable debut’ (IrishTimes) solo album in May 2011 which gathered songs from the Scottish, Irish and American folk traditions and featured folk all-star musicians such as Sharon Shannon and Trevor Hutchinson (The Waterboys). As a result, Noriana was a featured artist on the 20th year anniversary recording for 'A Woman's Heart' and performed as part of it’s release on the Late Late Show. She also toured the US extensively as the lead singer of Irish American supergroup, Solas.  Last year she performed for president Michael D Higgins at the Áras an Uachtaráin as part of International Womens Day.

Since becoming a member of Galway critically acclaimed band The Whileaways, her unique writing ability has been most recognised with“rich and sustaining melodies, honest and realistic imagery and unusual phrasing” (The Irish Echo).  In their latest album 'From What We're Made', released in July 2018 The Whileaways' stake their claim to being among the finest singers in the country' with an album "laden with absolutely stunning melodies and harmonies" (Edwin McFee, Hotpress). Her song 'I am a Hill' was performed and broadcast live from Vicar Street as part of the RTE Folk Awards for which The Whileaway's were nominated for 'Best Album' and 'Best Group'. In the last two years together with Nicola Joyce and Noelie McDonnell of The Whileaways, Noriana has performed live on The Nathan Carter Show, The Late Late Show and TG4s Fleadh TV. Their undeniably captivating performances have brought them to festivals around Ireland including representing Galway 2020 at the Irish Milwaukee Fest, TradFest, Doolin Folk Festival, IMBOLC and the International Galway Arts Festival.
