"Mad Uncle Harry are folky harmonious ragtime nectar …and they rock"... BASH Magazine

Music from the Folk Melting Pot of Galway

Mad Uncle Harry are a roots band that have sprung from the folk music melting pot of Galway. With a repertoire of roots, gospel, jazz and oltime their music charms everyone at the party. The lead singer is Noriana Kennedy (vocals and banjo ukulele). As a lead vocalist of the well loved The Whileaways she has performed throughout the European and American festival circuit since 2006.

Our lineup vary from solo performances to fully loaded with banjo, ukulele, drum, double bass and lots and lots and lots of vocal harmonies.  With all the talent and the versatility the lineup can adapt to suit what part of your wedding day you choose. We like to perform music for your civil and church ceremonies, drinks receptions, bbq's and day two gatherings.

Wedding Ceremonies
Great ceremony music is key to a beautiful ceremony. Our songs can be both religious or absolutely not depending on what's desired. We will have lots of chats prior to the wedding to personalise on songs for the ceremony.  Generally a 1-3 piece band is appropriate for this purpose. Civil ceremonies usually ask for 3-4 songs - Entrance, Post Vows, Exit. Religious ceremonies can have up to 8 songs to perform at the Entrance, Candle lighting, readings, psalm, sign of peace, Communion, Signing of Register and Exit.  Email me to get the latest list of song suggestions for your ceremony.

Drinks Receptions
Usually a fun informal session style performance – Footstomping, lively in  amongst the wedding goers to kick off the party atmosphere, but a mood setter that wont hog the airwaves.

BBQ parties/Day 2's
We up our game with a four or five piece and throw in a few floor fillers and a few favourites to make a proper party.

Rock My Wedding - "The band we had was from Galway, chosen by Chris, I had actually not heard them until the wedding evening. Everyone was dancing all night… Chris definitely did good with this one!"
